Elevation differences in different devices/software
Interesting data from a century today. WKO+ gave me 3907 feet gained, SRM PC7 gave me 4255 feet and Connect Garmin gave me 6978 feet w/ elevation correction set to "on".
Previously several friends and I had gotten just under 5000 feet on this ride multiple times using bike computers w/ barometric altimeters. Today was an abnormally high pressure day w/ reading of 30.57 near time of ride. To clarify, I used my SRM PC7 and my new 910XT together for comparison.
ANyone have an opinion on which reading would be most accurate?

It was a strange day w/ super high pressure at start dropping a bit during day.
Surprised mostly that Connect Garmin says they are accurate to one meter when using their elevation correction. CLearly I do NOT believe that course has 7K of climbing but 5K is very believable. I've done too many mountain centuries in NC mountains that actually have 8-11K of climbing per 100 miles to believe today's ride had 7K.
Just for curiosity's sake I turned off Connect's elev correction which DC Rainmaker seems to feel is more accurate since it uses NASA data and I got 5295 feet of climbing which is much closer to the approx 5K several of us have felt best represents the true amount of climbing on this course. SO the barometric altimeter seems to more closely reflect actual climbing better than the COnnect elev correction method using NASA topo data.
I was surprised too and plan to turn OFF Connect's elevation correction and let the 910's barometric altimeter do its job.
