Insulin: friend or foe?
Being a formerly fat guy (FFG), I've spent an inordinate amount of time reading up on how preventing big spikes in insulin is desirable for weight management.
So, I've been pretty surprised to learn about how important insulin is in recovery and muscle building. Which has lead me to realize how much I've been sabotaging my own recovery over the last few years, in fear of raising insulin levels.
Short summary here. Given how ill-informed I was on the topic, I figured that others may also have been going down the same road.
Interested to hear about anyone's experience in learning how to use this information to their benefit.
