IMWI camp
I am thinking of going to the camp, but have a couple of questions regarding my crazy life and schedule. I am commited on Wed-Thu in TX for a speaking engagement and then plan to fly into Madison for the camp. Another speaking engagement just popped up on Sunday. What do you guys think about the benefits, etc of only being there Friday-Sat and missing Thu and Sunday?
I am not doing IMWI this year but am training for HIM races.
Your thoughts?

Jon,
I've never done a camp so take this for what it's worth.
What I see:
Pros:
- You would be getting in the two 112 miles rides/ 4-6 miles runs which is the bulk of the training.
- training with an EN group and a couple evening social activities (assuming you did not have to prepare for Sunday's engagement)
- experience on the Madison course should you ever do it.
- Just getting out of the regular routine to do some cool training.
Cons:
- work on both ends of the camp = possibly tired coming in and going out.
- travel - late flight thursday? What about Saturday's flight.
- I did not check where you are located before stating this post but do you have to take your bike with your speaking engagement prior to the camp. Logistic/cost of bike on another flight?
- Is there any impact on your HIM schedule
Other thougths
Would Lousiville camp a couple weeks earlier work?
I'd be somewhat inclined to skip the camp or perhaps make a plan with some EN locals to get in some volume close to home. Now if you can migigate some of the cons it would be a cool group experience.

The A race will be HIM Branson in Sept
Anyway, more relevant to your question, the traditional schedule is the long ride on Fri and Sat, with no riding on Sun. So it's not like you can't run on your own on Monday or something. But the cycling with the group is pretty cool. Thu has been easy run as I recall. So if you can really be there all day on Fri and Sat, you're getting most of the camp.
Thursday evening will be the IMWI version of the Four Keys talk. I will record it and make it available for the team!
