Peeking at Week 8
I am a bit confused with the Week 8 Monday workout for (I'm on the Intermediate plan). The workout calls for "no testing" for HR athletes, but the workout is the 2x20' LTHR bike test. Any ides? Confusing, because I thought Week 8 was going to be a testing week before going into VO2 in Week 9. Thoughts?

Chuck, There is no testing on the bike for HR athletes next week, only thoses with PM's. Just do the regular 2 X 20's at Z 4/5 and remainder at 85%. You wil be testing for Vdot though on Wed.
I think the rational is you just do not see a big change in your HR numbers thus there really will not be any change in your zones with testing. And it will be better for your lactate threshold training for you to do a 2X 20 workout rather than a 40 minute sufferfest.
