juggle the plans
I'm in the JOS now and have started swimming on the off days for a few weeks. I would like to
add more swimming as the summer approaches. Like maybe Mid April add a day.
I was wondering if I should add a day and continue with the OS plan, since I haven't committed to a season
yet or just jump into a SC plan or HM plan that has the swimming built in.
If I did add a day in the OS plan what would the week look like ?
What do you think ?

I'm currently in week 7 of my OS. And I'm doing the Swim/Bike legs of a Wildflower relay in 4-5 weeks, so I have to get going on swimming. I'm trying to get in 3 days a week in the pool, as my work schedule allows, hopefully on the OS off days. I want to do the full 20 weeks of the OS, so it will be an add on. I will try to do 2500 yds/day. I've been swimming all my life, so I have no trouble creating workouts as I go along, and progressing them over time - I literally make it up just before I get in the pool. If you have no specific race goals on the horizon, and just want to get going on swimming, the OS Swim Hack in the wiki is as good a place to start as any. It gives a progression based on two sessions a week. And, as I said, the off days are the best days to place the swims. But If I can't do that, I try to make sure I do them first. If I do an OS-type run or bike workout, I'm too tired later in the day to swim properly, but not vice versa.
into a SC or HIM plan would be better.
