Q about run zones and data tool/training plan

Hey EN peeps! My (dumb) question: is LRP the same as EP or MP?  I don't see LRP in my run zones in the data tool.  Also, the numbers in my training plan don't seem to reflect my new running zones.  For example, my run wko's say TP is 10:18 but based on my last test, my new TP is actually 8:55 and is reflected in the data tool.  Anything I need to do to 'reset' the numbers in my training plan?  Thanks in advance!!

  • good news is you are getting faster

every time your VDOT changes you have to go into the VDOT calculator under the Resources tab, recalculate based on your current test results and then it will give you an option to save to plan.  The data tool does not interface with the training plan.

  •  Thanks, Paul!  I entered in and calculated my new vDot so the data tool reflects my new zones.  If the data tool doesn't interface with the training plans, where do the paces come from in the training plan?  For example, my wko for today is below.  The paces listed as times are from my old vDot.  That's where I'm getting confused.  Why haven't the numbers updated to reflect the new vDot?  do I have to enter this manually somewhere?

    WU: 30' @ 12:40/LRP

    MS: 4 x 1/2 mile (4') @ 10:18/TP, Remainder @ 11:02/MP as you can.

WD: 5' easy jogging / walking.

  •  Nevermind! I just found it in the vDot calculator   DOH!
