Ride not recorded, although LYC showing stats during ride

 Okay, so I put a new battery into my LYC yesterday and do my assigned ride.  I go to download the ride today and it is not there?  Any ideas on what might of happended? I have been using power for over a year now and this has never happended. It was a challenging ride and I really would of like to see what came of it. Damn it!

Hi Brenda — sorry to hear that you can't download the ride stats.

When I changed the battery in my LYC a few months ago, I cleared it afterwards (well, twice actually) as I thought I had read something in either the dashboard or forums about the LYC playing up after a battery change.

Hi Brenda, I just read somewhere that the LYC only records 8 hours of data. Maybe the memory is close to full if you haven't cleared previous workouts? That's one thing I could think of.

B, did it ever flash the word "data" on the screen? I had that happen last year at AG Nat'ls, and never was able to download the data, even though it showed me the average, etc, on the screen. Very frustrating. A simple clear fixed the problem, but I lost the ride.

I spoke with a rep from Cycleops and we had to hard reset it. That worked for a couple of rides and now it is doing it again. Think it needs to be replaced. I will do a hard reset today before my big ride and then call them next week to discuss a replacement.

He told me to take the battery out and put it in backwards. Close it up and let it sit for 10-15 sec, then put the battery back in. I then had to resink the computer to the hub and then it was set and ready to go, but like I said it is not recording again. I will do the hard reset again today and see what comes of it.
