Week 19/20
Well gang the taper hit home today. 2800 yard swim and 45 min run.
Then went a purchased a couple more tubes with specific valves this way I won't have to mess with extensions. Running Conti's for both tires. Using disc cover for rear.
Ear plugs purchased for swim and clear goggles. Hoping to fine someone around my pace and hang on/near feet.
Doing my weekend 2.5 hour ride and 30 min run tomorrow d/t 4 days of rain being forecasted. Will then do Tuesdays 60 min bike Thursday after the 70 min run scheduled. Have to drop bike off this Thursday-TriTransport picking up. Hope they r as good as the reviews state. Will then do remainder of rides inside on a spinning bike.
Getting a little worried about the heat but like the low humidity and not being acclimated. Going to take 800 of Sodium each hour and up my water intake. Might need to then up my calories if the body will be working that much harder. Still doing 270/hr of Infinit but gels as the extra 110-200 cals/hr. Also carrying a small bottle of Coke in my bike jersey and putting another in my SN bag.
We land in STG ~ Noon, pick up rental car, get checked in and will then plan on drivi g the bike course. I will get out near Veyo and then bike from there up and back to town.
