Joining Groups

I just went to go to a forum post and it took me to the page that said Hey your not part of this group, but click here and join it. When I click on the join button (or whatever the link was) it just takes me to the groups page. Problem was I didn't remember the group name. So is there a way to either link you right to the group to join or maybe make it so it tells you the name of the group you where trying to join?

    Related to this (kind of), can we remove "old" groups from yr's past so they don't clutter up our groups page? i.e. If I don't really want to see something like the "Summer 2011 HIM Training Group" anymore...

    +1 on John's comment above. Looks like some of this is done, but not completely. Makes sense to have one group for each race, and let folks join/leave as they need.
