Trek props

So I've got a Trek road bike, a Madone, it's a year old. Love it. Never had a carbon bike before. Anyway I notice a hairline crack in the rear stay, we take pix, shoot them off. Trek says its not structural, only paint. We test it, its all good. I'm satisfied, dont; really care about paint but they say send it back and we'll send you a new frame. I pick out cool colors online, and it's an upcharge but they say no prob, no upcharge, ride your bike in the meantime and we'll have you this new frame in 45-60 days.

Not bad. Love Wisconsin.

  • Nice to see more good CS from Trek. I have a friend whose Trek MTB frame cracked from a freak accident with the derailleur hanger. The hanger broke off (like it's supposed to) but then whipped up and jamed up by the rear brake which is what cause the frame to crack. Clearly a riding/use issue and not a warranty/defect issue. The bike was less than 1 year old and Trek replaced it under warranty.
