To aero helmet or not to...?

 I own and have raced in a Spiuk aero helmet and it has been fine - haven't been able to tell if I am faster or not with it. However, I am about to embark on a 5:20-30 ride at IM Texas and am wondering if there is ever a reason NOT to wear it...like maybe heat, or anything else?  I still don't understand why Chrissie doesn't wear one, or why (until last year) Craig Alexander didn't wear one.  Maybe the Kona heat?

 

Texas will probably be every bit as hot this year - which sparked this inquiry.

Wear it. I'm actually one of those dorks that wears mine while training. It offers superior visibility.
