Long run split into two runs

 What's the EN collective wisdom of doing an Ironman long run training run where, for example, you split your long run days into something like 6 miles in the AM and 13 miles in the PM?

  • P- if it were me bringing this up, I would answer your question like this...Time. My long runs are pretty short right now as I prep for a June HIM. But as I build for IMFL, I wouldn't be surprised if I encounter this issue in the Fall.

    So, ideally, won't split any runs up. And if I did, I wouldn't make a habit out of it. So, is it a 'Fail' if we do it once or twice due to life circumstances?
