Course Specific Skills
Are there any skills that I might want to start to develop that would be unique to racing in Kona? I'm thinking along the lines of my swim: right now, I take loooong blissful strokes, with virtually no kick, which has served me rather well for wetsuit-legal open water races. Something tells me that I'm going to have to rethink this as shorter strokes, presence of kick, and so forth, which is probably something that would be good to address starting about now, instead of late September.
Anything else along these lines? I can't really think of form or style things for the bike or run that wouldn't apply everywhere else, but I'm new to this hawaii thing, and the echoes of "there's no way you are ever really prepared for it" ring in my brain even this far out.
