VI in Power Agent

I see people mention VI in their WKO and racing posts and I can't seem to find it anywhere in PowerAgent.  Is it in Power Agent, or is it something that is unique to WKO+ or other software?  Is it something that can be calculated?  Thanks!

  • It's probably there, just called something else. But you can also calculate it as VI = NP/AP.
  • I don't think VI is included with Power Agent. It's a simple calculation as Scott mentioned.
  • You have to do the math...it's not in power agent
  • Cool, I can do math. image One more question: Is there a target VI for a ride depending on the terrain?
  • If you are racing, you want a VI of as close to 1 as possible, so 1.01-1.02 is good for flat courses, while around 1.04 for hills depending on the descents and how much you can maintain watts as you go downhill. Total VI for a ride is harder to look at as depending on what type of ride your doing it could be very high. I usually ignore total VI if I'm doing an EN training ride, but I'll look at the VI for each interval to try and make sure I'm being steady.
  • Yeah, interval rides will really skew the VI number.
