Burning Feet on the run

I would like to know if any one else suffers from burning feet on the run ? My feet get so hot they are on fire . I was told it might be my shoes but I have tried many pairs and they all seem the same on a run longer than 15km . I have supports in my shoes which might be a reason ? I run in Asics neutral shoe , I did have an anti pronation shoe but was told to try and go neutral . I bought Newtons but dont feel they will work for me on a long run . If any one has had a similar experience I would love some advice .

Thank you for  the congrats on my  70.3 S A  race , I will try to send  some photos !

  • Hi Tina,

I feel your pain!  I used to have this problem, mostly associated with longer runs when it was hotter (>70 degrees.) It also happened to me on longer bike rides in heat.  I ended up loosening my laces / (or better yet, Yankz), and the problem resolved. I'm guessing you've already tried this, but just in case ...

  • some other tips would be to try thinner socks or sizing up your shoe 1/2 a size. Seems like it would be bulky and that you'd be sliding around, but if your feet swell, it would fit just right. image
