Power Meter Data

I have a SRAM quarq power meter and the last two rides my Garmin 310 has not picked up any data reception from the pm. It has worked fine previous to this. Anyone had this problem before?  Any suggestions of how I can resolve this issue?  Thanks for your help.

  • Is it working when you just turn the cranks? Are you getting cadence? If you're getting nothing, try changing the battery.
  •  My Garmin works fine. I get cadence and time functions but I am not getting any power readings.

  • Next question. Ahat other sensors are you using? Are you using the Garmin Speed/Cadence sensor, or are you relying solely on GPS for speed and the Quarq for power/cadence?

I'm trying to figure out your setup, because it may be as simple as a battery change on the Quarq. If you're using Quarq cadence and still seeing it, but no power, then something else is wrong.
  •  I am using the Garmin speed/cadence sensor. My quarq is only two months old so I wouldnt think it would be the battery but obviously I have no idea.

  • Dan, I'm having a similar prob. All of a sudden, my Joule doesn't pair/pickup/find/read my Quarq. Gotta a call in. Will let you know when I hear from them.
  •  Really interesting.  Have you tried re-pairing the Quarq with the Joule?  If that doesn't work, a call to Quarq is probably the way to go.  My experience with Quarq Customer Service has been very positive.

It could be the magnet.  The Quarq will not "work" if it's not reading the magnet as it doesn't wake up.

Check to see if the magnet is a) still there and b) it's not misaligned in some way.
