Going Ironman Perform only and ditching the concentrated Infinit and water.

  • Could be wrong here... As I recall, Lemon-Lime Perform is served on the bike and Orange is served on the run. When combined with gels, blocks, honey waffles, and whatever other concoction you need to get to the finish line - the first thing I wnat to do when I am done is BRUSH MY TEETH!
  • woody, you might be right.  oh well, it's ironman....that means be ready for anything!!!!!

  • At Syracuse 70.3 it was Orange-Mango on the bike and Mixed Berry on the run. I don't think I saw Lemon-Lime at all.

Each 20 oz. bottle has 175 cals and about 500mg of electrolytes.

  • Unfortunately you can't try any of this out before a race. I contacted the company, and they responded saying that they have discontinued the retail sale bottled Perform, but are still supplying it for Ironman races. For now you can still get the lemon-lime powder. I wonder how long this will continue?
  • I think it sells pretty well in comparison to Gatorade Endurance. So it might stick around for the long haul. I could never find Gatorade Endurance in stores and the Perform can be easily found.
  • Some GNC stores here in NJ still have the IM Perform bottles. Ive always had to order the Gatorade Endurance.
  • I really need to track down some IM Perform immediately. IMNY is 3 weeks out and I haven't confirmed I can stomach the stuff yet. It will only be part of my bike fuel plan but still account for maybe 50% of my calories and much of my electrolytes.
