Marathon Run Hack Doc Added to Train Map / Run Station / Downloads Section

Folks -

Lots of requests to get you more specific run info, and while the run plans aren't 100% ready, they are useable for you guys. So now you can download the XLS spreadsheet and see the runs (Beg / Int / Adv) all lined up for the full 16 weeks of a marathon plan. So psyched to have this for you!!!!

  • this is awesome stuff. Let me just make sure I get it....first marathon outside of IM. As I look at the plans, are there really only 3 runs/week? Does this assume other "stuff" or is this what you do for a marathon?

    So used to the 7 day/week training for IM...

  • So is it like beer and burgers on the off days? No...really. I am wondering what the off days are about. Should we stay off the legs or is it cool to crosstrain?
  • Jeremiah, I am using the hack to prepare for my first marathon in November and Patrick told me to get in one ride during the week, short interval like the usual Wednesday ride and a longer ride on the weekend. Said I could swim as well. Not sure I will be doing but I think I am going to try to get two weight sessions in a week to build up some lean muscle. Or beers and burgers work as well!
