Switching weekend workouts around

I'm finding it easier to hit my bike numbers than handle the longer run workouts at the weekend. I'm running inside @ the gym where the temp is usually set at 70/72. Last Sundays ended up being 9 miles, after Saturdays bike I almost cut short some of the LRP.

So I was thinking that it might be better to switch Sat's bike & Sun's run around, with Friday off I think I'll be in better shape for the run.

Is there some reason that I'm missing that they need to be ordered this way?

  • At this point in time, no problem. When the volume goes up in Gen Prep / Race Prep, Sat and Suns are more specific. Do what works!

  • The only thing I could think of against it was along the lines of the Hanson Brothers running plan where they have you build up 2 days of work so on the 3rd day the run feels like the last 6 miles of a marathon because for legs are tired from the previous 2 days runs.
