     John, you'll have to catch me to see it!!!

    Is that a challenge?  I like challenges...  I was a 3x All-American wrestler in college...  I might not be able to catch you in a race...   But I'm sure I can catch you (sometime)...  And if this is a challenge, I will catch you and when I do, I will probably be nice enough to give you the option of showing it willingly, or holding you down and seeing it for myself.    This will be a fun game...

  • Uh-oh... I've seen this movie before...
  • Hahahah... I have a vision of Coach P being wrestled to the ground for a tat-check everywhere he goes....
  • Thought about it, but I avoided this temptation when I was in the army and I'm glad I did....so even though I think it might be cool to have some sort of tri tat now not sure how I will think about it when I'm 70.
    I've also thought that I would not get one for doing just one IM but maybe after my fifth or something like that....

    Sounds like tattoos are a large component of who you are. And triathlon / Ironman is just sport, a game, and means so many different things to all of us. I sez do what you want and ignore any haters. Who cares...this is all just a game.

    No tattoos for me. If I were to get one, it would have be some flavor of USMC one first, as that means much more to me than anything I've done in triathlon, but as I've been "out" for 12yrs now, seems I'd be a little late to the party at this point

    @Rich - I just can't picture you with a big EGA on your back.  But it is never too late.....

    From a fellow nerd...  3.1415926535897 would look sweet!

    Where's the "Like" button????

    Just think, you could take it to more decimal points if you did a descending spiral down the leg.....John, do a search at Google Images for Pi tattoos -- there are some fun, geeky tattoos there.

  • As many have said, this has been a GREAT thread.  After my first, I came really close to getting one like what my buddy got:

    However, I am the ultimate procrastinator.   Now, though, I am contemplating how to tie in a Breast Cancer ribbon with Ironman as the two are inextricably linked in my life now.  I have been sketching some designs and right now I am leaning towards something like a tribal band around the calf, filled in with BC ribbons laying on their side, and abutting the M-Dot on the back. But that will have to wait until this season is over.

  • Sharp looking tat. Mine is dark blue ... The very color that WTC says the brand can never be ... so technically mine is a nonconforming brand.

    @Paul - pictures?

    I like that thought...it would tie in the Air Force as well....which, seeing as how I have been 'in' since 1985 it is obviously a big part of my life as well.

  • Joe .. I'm in S Georgia and will have to post it when I'm at home. I'm not technically adept enough to do it with my IPad. My tat only shows the blue in bright light. Indoors it is going to look black.
