Garfoot Adventure
Hey...FYI.
Garfoot has had some work done to it... They have put down some sort of gravel/tar combo. It is very very loose. If you are riding the course, be aware!. You hit the spots at very high speeds on the curves. I saw one girl dump her bike and she got pretty beat up.
I ask someone about it....they said it would seal by Sept 9 and not be so dangerous.
Be careful

Road up on the course last Saturday and Sunday. There is gravel on Garfoot but it's after the main portion of the decent. There is a sharp right turn after the decent with a sign warning you of the up coming gravel and then there are a series of patches. By the time we hit them they were mostly packed down and I was able to roll across them at 20-25mph and I took a couple of them while in aero. Even the fiance who is very nervous on gravel commented that they weren't bad.
Hopefully they'll have the bridge going into Mt. Horeb and the Garfoot gravel squared by the EN weekend. If not I'm almost positive everything will be fine for the actual race.
