Alternative method for sharing pictures

Hey all,

I've noticed that there's been some confusion on how to share pics within the EN site, and I wanted to share my method. Maybe the picture uploading interface will get fixed and cleared up in the future, but for now, here's a simple and easy to use hosting site:

http://imgur.com/

  1. If there are images on your computer that you want to share, click "Computer"
  2. Select your pictures (you can upload a whole bunch at once). Alternatively, you can also drag and drop your files on the page.
  3. If you only have one image, click "Start Upload". If you have a whole bunch of pictures, check the "Group images into an album" option first (you can then select how you want to images to be laid out), then upload.
  4. Done! Now you can copy the URL in the address bar, and post that to the dashboard.

The only drawback is that this is kind of a "drive-by" way of posting images. That is, if you lose the link to your picture, there's really no way of getting it back, and you'll have to re-upload it to share it again (but there are no limits to uploading!) Also, pictures need to have at least one view every 6 months before they get deleted, so this is really just a quick, temporary way of sharing something.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try my best to answer!
