For Zipp 900 clincher owners who are fed up with the tiny valve opening and limited inflation option

  • Had to do a similar hole expansion to get my old 404 disc wheel cover to go over my Edge 65 w G3 power tap. The drive side fit perfectly, but the center of the non drive side did not have a large enough diameter to go over the G3. About 15 mins of careful work did the trick.
  • Nice work... I got rid of my 900 clincher because of the stupid hole that was too small and to close to the rim.
  • Man that is very cool. I am utterly paranoid of all the strange forces placed on the valve when trying to get the crack pipe on and off in such a small space. I'm going to do that surgery for sure. Awesome!!
  • Why Zipp designed the wheel that way is perplexing.  There's no effective way to use a tube that's not 30mm (which you'll never find, especially in latex).

I almost want to fly up to Zipp's HQ in Indianapolis, find some of their engineers and punch 'em in the nuts and shout "You Know Why!!!"

  • At Bob. ... Too funny! I usually feel that way about Microsoft software, but this fits the bill too.
