Consistent vDot Test problems?!

okay - the news, I realize that my diagnosis was not without symptoms. I only realized this today as i have been thinking about my situation and cardio history.

3 years+ ago i would take the train to NYC everyday. often times the train would arrive on the lowest level of Grand Central. I would have to negotiate a number of stairs and ramps to get to street level. I was 30lbs heavier than i am today. I would often arrive at street level slightly winded. I thought this was because I was fat & out of shape. (FAOS)

at any rate, i think to my time in EN and the fact that i often blew up on my vDot tests. I also think to my recent stress test that showed that my newly diagnosed physical condition is heightened at high heart rate. THERE is absolutly a connection.

I would find myself after 1.25 - 2.0 miles. standing on the side of the road, heart racing, bent over, breathing super hard. YES, i may have gone out too fast, but legs seemed capable of so much more than my cardio system. I did recently have an amazing vDot test that got me a bump. I actually had left my vDot where it was for over a year because i felt fine doing intervals of up to 1mile at Z4 that was generated from the time i was using.

If this happens to you, it may or may not be a symptom of something worse going on. Get it checked out, then get back to pushing hard for your vDot test.
