If my custom tri bike goes missing, would like to know what to buy in a hurry.

tri bike.    6 foot 6 inch man.     budget cost.   

So what off the shelf (not custom), tall man, cheap bikes are there out there?      thanks.

Robin, disclaimer, I'm not quite at your height and don't know your definition of "budget", but I'm 6'3 and got a 58in Felt B12 (this model has a larger size, 60in, which I'm assuming you'd ride). I also ride using a shorter (90mm) stem after getting a RETUL fit and am pretty happy with the fit/sizing. FWIW.

 @ Robin I would recommend that you spend the 200 with Todd Kenyon @ ; http://ttbikefit.com/ and have him do a detailed fit either from your current bike or starting from scratch.  The value is that he will go through the various maker options for you based on whether your freakishness is long torso, short legs vs long torso. long legs vs short torso long legs
