nursing and training racing

Baby eats and can pump her a bottle. It is engorgment I am worried about on the run. Should be OK until the run. Any thoughts

  • I found it very difficult to nurse and workout in general. I always nursed my babies for 6 months, then came back to training. Shout out to Kori, though, who is Wonder Woman and can definitely help you!

I would be very careful of dehydration. Whenever I waited too long I would get headaches too.

    Good luck!
  • If the baby eats cereal yet, you could wean him/her from that specific nursing time (midday feeding) in the next few weeks by adding your milk supply (frozen) to the cereal or formula.  Your body will adapt and stop production for the time of the day as it were. How much time before your HIM?

If you are nursing on demand, the scheduled weaning (dropping one feeding by replacing with cereal/milk) might be more complicated.

I would also wondered if your race rehearsal time would allow you to test this idea beforehand.
