Start is in November. What do I do now?
Hey guys, start out season training at the end of October. Anyone have a good plan or cross training ideas to get in general shape and drop some weight before os training?

Otherwise, generally, stay fit and active, try some unstructured training for a while, take the pressure off so that you're ready to rev it up again in November. If there are any particular limiters you know of (muscular imbalances/weakness, run technique, body comp), now is a great time to put a dent in it.
(b) Make sure your run frequency is high, like 4x/week or more
Item (b) is really, really important in my experience. They don't have to be long runs...say 30 mins min...but it has to be frequent.
