Garmin Connect vs Training Center
I searched around the site and could not fine an answer to this question. I hope this isn't a dup. I'm using primarily a 310TX and have been a training center geek for years. Last time I used Garmin Connect (years ago) it wasn't quite ready for prime time. I spent some time out there today and am wondering if it is time to dump Training Center for Garmin Connect.
I like the feature that allows me to program all of the workouts for the upcoming week. This way I stay off the TRI sites--which is a big SAU plus.
What says the haus?

Garmin Connect has gotten better faster than GTC, and I think most people would find it "better". You can now directly map courses (like mapmytri, but a lot smoother to get onto your device) and search for courses/rides/whatever that other people have left there. There are some other features, but given that you live here, those are the most important ones I think.
It still doesn't have the analytics that TP or WKO does if you use power, but it's a step up from GTC I believe. The other advantage is that you have "backup" of your files on the cloud. Depending on your device, I am pretty sure they are all still stored on your computer if you poke around hard enough, but they don't disappear if your hard drive dies.
While not perfect, garmin connect has improved a ton over the last year and is very good for workout planning and basis logging. As William pointed out it is not a replacement for TP/WKO/etc, but Garmin isn't targeting that market yet.
But, have you considered trainingpeaks.com? The free account still has a ton of functionality and is better if you use a power meter. The one big advantage to Garmin connect and I will probably never really leave it, is that the wireless transfer devices (910xt, FR610) will connect and up load to Garmin automatically, which is nice. The other advantage over TP is that Garmin Connect is NOT flash based and will work with your apple mobile mobile devices, if you are so inclined.
While we are it, have you considered Strava? It is hands down the most fun and is really powerful if ride courses routinely and use timed segments to measure progress. Strava will do that automatically....
I have been a user of WKO+-but not training peaks.
I guess I am going to have dump my Kaypro 64 luggable computer.
Thanks Joe--that is my favorite feature in GTC. Setting up the workouts ok in Connect. The biggest issue (and it clearly could be the user) is that in GTC the calendar is autmoatically updated. So when I setup a workout for Thursday, the Thursday workout magically pops up in the garmin. With connect I am scrolling thru a dozen pages to find the workout labeled "12-08-14 PnR WIll Bring Pain"
