garmin 310 xt and cyclyops heart rate monitor compatability

 i ride with a cycleops HR monitor, and run with a garmin 310xt.  can my cycleops monitor match up with my garmin, or do i need to switch HR straps and wear the garmin HR strap for the run.  I think I read somewhere that the cycleops HR strap can sync with other devices, but it does not seem to match up with the garmin.

Brian - Have you gone to Settings / ANT+ HR / and then run "RESTART SCAN" ? I will check with mine, but I am pretty sure I was able to get mine paired to my 310.

yes, it will pair up just fine. Both use ANT+. I have my Cycleops HRM paired to my 305.
