We are putting the finishing touches on a significant upgrade to the training plan platform that will enable you to take full control your training plan. Currently:

  1. The weeks of your training plan are basically screenshots of the PDF plans, that we tell “the system” to reveal to you a few weeks at a time.
  2. If you need to make a change to your training plan you have to submit a request and wait for us to do it for you.
  3. Until this week you did not have a tool to easily plan out your season. Conversations about your season happened in the Macro thread and, with the questions coming fast and furious -- when to leave the OS plan, do I do 1-2 weeks of Transition, when do I start my HIM or IM plan, etc -- the current system is just up to our standards.

The Next Phase

Going forward we want to empower you to do as much of this yourselves, so you can take more ownership of your training and (most importantly) you don’t have to wait for the coaches to do it for you. Here’s how it will work:

  1. If you’re new to the Team, we get you started with our survey and feedback process.
  2. You then use the Season Planning Tool to plan out your season, asking for feedback via the forums as needed.
  3. You “install” any of our training plans into your account yourself without waiting for us to do it for you. (coming soon)
  4. If you need feedback from the coaches, to "check your work," or give you guidance for any special situations, just post a question in the Macro Thread we’ll get back to you within 48hrs.

In many ways, we see this as the next evolution of the self-coached athlete process. You’ll be in control of your plan, able to toggle from OS to Transition to Race Prep, from IM to 70.3 when you need to. If you need help with the planning process, uou’ll be able to quickly get the advice of the coaches, and tap into collective knowledge and experience of the Team to provide much more depth to your training.

We are working furiously behind the scenes to get this ready. Please stay tuned for updates on this system; we just wanted to keep you in the loop!

    For the folks that have been aroound a little while it will be great to be able to change plans as needed. I'm sure all the newer team members will be able to quickly get the hang of things as well with the new season planning tool.

    Not sure if this is the place to post this - I have joined the Training Plan Beta 2.0. I have self loaded my HIM plan ( I was in 19th week of outseason) but for week 15 of HIM plan in Beta Platform there is no Sat or Sunday workouts posted. I assume this is a mistake as I would expect a 3 hour ride on Sat and a 2.5 hour ride on Sunday with brick.
