Rim Tape - What is the EN suggestion?

 I have read about Stan's (not planning on tubeless) as it is thin and lightweight.  Does anyone still use Velox cloth?

This tape is for my race wheels (SRAM S80's).

A quick search of the forums didn't find me anything conclusive...

I think I read that with the Rim Tape debacle with Flo wheels that many went to Stan's (Trevor G. being one...)

I don't mind the Velox stuff but the Velox stuff requires constant changing.  Stan's seems to last a lot longer.



I'm actually tape free for race wheels now as I picked up a Zipp disc (to replace my Hed Disc which required rim tape) to go with my H3.

thin as possible.  not the cloth.   harder to change tires.   i like the thin plastics ones with zipps and mavics.

Completely agree with Robin. Get the thin plastic strips as it makes it much easier to change a tire.

I knew the cloth stuff was a no-no now due to the thickness and how that can negatively impact tire changes.
