>> Looking For Some Beta Testers For Possible OS Enhancement

Hi Folks:

I have been approached my Rubin Johnson (EN dude from a couple of years ago) about possibly using his new software for EN OS workouts.

In short . . .

1 - You download the software to your PC (sorry, nothing for Mac, yet)

2 - Do the workouts pre-loaded in the software and upload results to your WKO+, TP online or wherever.

3 - If you have used TrainerRoad, it is very much like that.  But the workouts stay local on your machine and it can be fully customized for YOU!  They don't go into the "cloud."

4 - If it works well and you testers approve, they will write the whole OS season into the software so you have ALL your OS bike workouts on your PC.

Below is a little more info.

If interested, please respond to this post.  I am thinking of doing this the first two weeks of October and we all try 3 to 5 workouts and see how it goes.

Thanks.

John

RAD+ is software for endurance athletes who train inside and wish to make their training effective and efficient by performing workout at specified intensities. RAD+ gives you real time information to let you do your training according to your plan. The software runs on your machine so your workouts are private.

The Dashboard is the screen an athlete will use the most. It displays the workout and shows how you are doing. Dials show your green zones. A chart shows the interval workout you are scheduled to do.

RAD+ was designed with power meter users in mind but heart rate training is also supported.

The program includes a workout builder so that you can create your own custom workouts. The tool is graphical so you just add rectangles of the right duration and intensity.

First time users must create a profile that includes their FTP, some details on what data they want to show up on the screen, and what devices. RAD+ collects ANT+ data on power, heart rate, and cadence.

The program includes a help section but I'll bet most EN athletes will know how to use it.

To participate in the beta program, simply register at www.radplussports.com and then download the software. Note that the Downloads section is populated only AFTER you register. RAD+ only works on Windows OS at the current time.

Feel free to email Rubin at geojedi@gmail.com with any questions. Rubin was an EN member when his training for his first Ironman, IMC 2011.
