The New Joule GPS - Anyone Have One?

Noticed some peeps on ST talking about it.  Sounds like it's not much of an upgrade.  Although, I'd argue that "regressing" from a lithium rechargeable battery to an old skool CR 2032 coin batt is an improvement.

Interested in any feedback or thoughts on this.

  • The ST thread didn't seem to have a lot of favorable reviews. The consensus seemed to be the Garmin devices did everything better.
  • figures...thanks for the update Bob!
  • Well, I just got one, at least that's what I think it is... For free! I just pulled it out of the box tonight which means I won't know anything about it for a month. DC rainmaker I am not.
  •  I'll swing by Wheelbuilder, have Rich run me through it and post my thoughts.

  • I just bought my wife the Garmin Edge 500 on Friday.  She doesn't have power.  I am hoping to swipe it and use it from time to time to see what it does.  It is insanely easy to setup and navigate.  Never thought I would say this but it kicks the crap out of the Joule (and this from a hardcore, loyal CyclOps fan).  The Data Fields have everything we want/need for power geekery - TSS, IF, NP, etc.
