Profile Design Pads

I've had the F22 pads on my QR CD0.1 and my QR Lucero before that ... Getting tired of them since the long outer corner tends to get in the way of my knee when I come out of the saddle.  I've moved them forward but still touch lightly on the climbs.  Anyone with T2 aerobars ever replace theirs with the F19 or the Venturi Pads?

  • I switched mine out for F19's because the F22 made my forearm go numb. They are as forward as reasonably possible, and I still whack my leg into them for standing climbs. After a hilly ride I'll have 2 quarter sized bruises on my quads. I've not looked at the Venturi pads.
  •  Just bought t2+ for my bike rebuild. They come with the f19s. I still have to be conscious of not hitting them with my knees if I stand, but they are not completely in the way, and I do have them set wide, more than I used to. However they are super comfortable!

  • Rian, I don't know how you are hitting the F19 pads since they don't stick out like the F22s. The Venturi pads are much smaller so I may follow Sarah's lead and go to the F19.
  • @ Sarah & Rian - my bike is now sporting F-19s. I should have dumped those stupid F-22s a long time ago. I can actually come off the saddle on a climb and not be banging into the pads. It makes me wonder what they were thinking when they designed the F-22.
  • I'm glad it worked out for you Paul. I moved my F22's over to a road bike, and now I won't ride the darn thing because I know I hate the stupid arm pads. I'm just going to have to suck it up and buy another set of F19's for my road bike, or go roadie and take off the clip ons.
  •  Just switched to venturi.   Simplest of all to adjust.   Comfy.   Plenty of knee room.

  • I looked at them Robin, but they didn't seem very substantial. But I suspect you needed a lot more leg room than I do. image
  • Actually seem more substantial then the Fs.

    Less bolts.    Easier adjustmment.

I put a lot of weight on those and so far so good.

Though my set up has the pad holders resting on the base bar so they would not go anywhere regardless.
