Six Gap Century
Raced....well rode....the Dahlonega, GA 'Six Gap Century' today. What a GREAT experience.
As I am still trying to figure out how to incorporate my Joule data into WKO+, I can't give the Gap-to-Gap interval power data. Also, I somehow split the ride into two files.
Here's the summary data:
- Total time: 7:30
- Riding time: 6:36
- TSS total: 375.9
- Total climb: 11,209' per my Joule
- Total distance: 103.x miles
- IF for first 5:54 -- 0.75
- IF for last :42 -- .843
- highest 10min and shorter power was in the last :30 minutes (!!!!)
Obviously I gave away a lot of total time at the rest stops, but I was riding this with some friends. It was more of a "Have Fun with My Fitness" event instead of a Race. I am most happy that I was able to hammer the last 10miles of rollers and finish very strong.
It was great to see fellow EN-er Chris Hardbeck out there. He had a great ride as well. We both attribute it to the advice we received on how to execute. It was absolutely amazing was seeing the total hammering on the first climb of the day.....

Fun to execute like an EN Ninja and to pass billions of cyclists on those last 2 climbs!
Great job! Fall colors? Boiled peanuts?
Around 3k riders out there. And the descents were a little tricky due to the numbers but also several cars (including SAGs) that got pinched between cyclists. That was about the only negative logistic, IMO.
I convinced Joe to vouch for me cuz I forgot to pick up my timing chip. So, odds are I'll remember it at FL.
And, you were SOOO right about how to ride that thing.
