Week 1- Getting Started

I have never done a core challenge before, I have a feeling by Wednesday nexty week I am going to think this is a terrible idea!!

I have the p-90X videos and I also use a TRX trainer for core exercises. I think the first week I am going to start nice and easy, I have to be able to move too!

Monday- P90X core Synergistics

Tuesday- probably an off day due to the fact I won't be able to move much.

Wednesday- Ab Ripper X- if I am still to sore just some TRX core work

Thursday- Yoga-X

Friday- Off day again

Saturday- AB Ripper X- or my version of it, I am pretty pathetic!!

Sunday- Stretch X

We'll see how week one goes... may have to make adjustments for week 2!!

  • Awesome, Becky! This is def the place to post our weekly updates/goals- thanks for helping me! I love the idea of Yoga as a core workout too and def want to do the P90X yoga and Core Synergistics when I get home. I will absolutely use the website! Thanks!
  • it's totally a core workout, my obliques were HATING me last week, not to mention my poor shoulders from all the 'optional' pushups. Can't wait to do it tonight...again. I was lazy this morning!
  • I've never done this before, either, but I do know I need help with accountability to get core work done so thanks, team! Measurements: belly button- 30.5; mid torso - 28; upper rib cage - 31.5. Height : 5'5" weight 148.8

    Plan is to do a core workout 3 x next week while in Mallorca. I hope to do mon- fri self- designed to music using the stability ball and weds- ab ripper x. In the future I want to add yoga once my elbow is healed and can support it.
  • Okay... measurements are:
    belly button- 30"
    mid torso- 31"
    upper ribcage- 32"

    I don't have any goals physically (except maybe it would be nice to see a few ab muscles poke their way out!)- but my real goal is to make it through an entire session of Ab Ripper-X. May not get there in 4 weeks, but I'll record my progress and see how it goes.

  • Well it has started, measurements I don't own a tape ha ho hum!. My working tool and guide will be the p90x program. See you at the end! If I find a tape I'll see what we can do ! :-)
  • Well day 2 and I did managed to get through the p90x ab ripper, still not a pretty site but done! Through in some lower bod stretching to get my marathon depleted legs feeling better!
    Till tomorrow I say!
