Training Peaks Web vs. WKO+ ?
I imagine there is some additional features in the WKO software download versus the online version, but they don't seem to have a side-by-side comparison of the products. Anyone have an idea?

Kidding aside, this can be hotly debated and has been. I have both, but rarely if ever use WKO+ anymore. I hate that it is PC based. I am a Mac guy and this requires using a backup PC, but I also hate how old and dated it looks. It's like windows 3.0. It is also a little clumsy in my opinion.
I get everything I need from the web version and truely enjoy using it more. I can check in from different computers and like a lot of the sharing features. While the desktop version has a bit more power today, it is not the stuff i use and the web keeps getting better.
The real debate centers on the revenue model. Many hate paying monthly when you can WKO+ and be good.... For a while.... Until they sell you and upgrade. I find real value in the online version and don't mind paying monthly - like Strava, like EN, like my online music service, like satellite radio and cable TV. This totally a personal choice and not a value judgement beyond the small monthly fee versus the larger cost for the older, PC based platform.
Just my humble opinion. Don't hate. To each there own.
Lastly newbi... put a picture up in that icon I'm sure you don't look like that.. Ha Ha...
I find Training Peaks to be an elegant, easy to use solution. I like it and would not go back.
Ha...ya'll are gonna laugh...I was using both...I didn't realize TrainingPeaks had all the same graphs etc...as WKO+...(though I do like WKO+)
And, as much as I like to call myself a techie, I don't like to upgrade as frequently (iPhone 5 anyone?) as other people do. So, once I sink money into a product, such as WKO+, I will use it for the entirety of it's lifespan - basically until I'm FORCED to migrate.
I still use Microsoft Money 1998, that I bought in late 1997 when I was a very poor check-bouncing post-college student, to log EVERY financial transaction I've had in my life. Best $30 investment I've ever made if you ask me! I've got the software CD, and it migrates to all my newer and newer PCs, laptops, etc over the years.
As long as it works, I'll keep using it!
. . . except for his thoughts on Money 98. I used it until Microsoft stopped supporting downloading of financial data. I need that - I am precision driven and it simplifies my life. Moved to Quicken and, in my opinion, after a couple of years it turned into a piece of crap with constant problems in getting investment data downloaded correctly. I now use Mint which is precise, simple and free.
Sorry for heading in a different direction - I blame Scott.
I am a nerd....
Same here... I have a mental condition called 'trainingfileolossis' which is the fear of losing my training files. Luckily with Garmin Connect I have every swim / bike / run file on the net, and because WKO+ is my main program to check fitness and analyze workouts I can take it wherever I take my computer.
