Garmin GTU-10

 Hey gang,

Looking for some feedback on the Garmin GTU 10 device.  Was getting ready to order a myathlete tracker device for IMAZ and realized that between this years race and the races I have planned for next year it would be more cost effective to buy this device.  Since we have little kids it makes it much easier for her if she can know where I am on the course and not be guessing.  

As an added benefit I could use it on my long rides so my wife could know where I am.  (I use my iphone for this as well but since the ios6 software release the battery life has really suffered and it won't make more than a 2-hour ride)

Anybody used one of these?  Pros/Cons?  Any and all feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I wanted to know about this too, since I frequently ship my bike and check it on planes with me. What would happen if it "accidentally" got lost, could it work worldwide to track it down?!?

In another article of his he did actually put the unit in his bike case for a flight to track his luggage. It's gps based so I see no reason that it would not work just about anywhere assuming a map existed to map the location.
