Big Bike Week

So anyone planning on doing a big bike week leading up to the race. Just curious as to timing, prior experiences, does and don'ts. et.. I was thinking about starting one this weekend as I will be at a conference is San Francisco all of the last week of the month with no real access to a bike except for what is in the gym. Figured I could get some open water swims in and some runs that week, but it will be pretty tight time wise.

I know I looked at the wiki and there was some high level guidance:

  • Decided to do the guidance based on the following:

    ¦Day 1: 60-75 miles
    ¦Day 2: 80-90 miles
    ¦Day 3: 80-90 miles
    ¦Day 4: 50 miles
    ¦Day 5: 90-100 miles

    So far have done:
    Day 1: 62 miles @ .82
    Day 2: 85 miles @ .71
