Id like to get an open water swim this weekend in Madison...Does anyone know if it permissible to swim in Lk Monona? If not...is there another location? thanks!

Don't swim in Lake Monona. Too many boats! And probably all algae icky right now.
The locals may have better answers, but you could possibly do Lake Wingra. I'm a bigger fan on take advantage of one of the lush, giant outdoors pools in the area.
