RR2 Week
Thought it would be worth having a specific thread for RR2..
Is everyone doing RR2 3 weeks out (OCT 13th)? I'm planning on doing it this weekend but I know some folks do it 2 weeks out.
Planning on staying indoors this current weekend and then putting on lots of layers for an outdoor RR2 weekend to include running pants if needed. I will ride with new tires for this RR to help break them in prior to the race. I will also change my PM battery for RR2.
Although there is still work to be done after RR2 this is certainly the last big push from Thu-Sat. Can't come soon enough.

I'm just gluing up my race wheels now and filling with caffelatex so I won't be doing the RR on race wheels. Before the RR#2 I will be doing a chain swap, going over all the cabling, shifting, re-grease BB (many Quarq swaps), checking all the bolts and giving the bike a nice wash. Amazing what a disgusting sticky mess the front gets after long rides with nutrition spilling over everything.
Hope it goes well for you guys, good luck.
If you new to riding on deeper race wheels it would be good to practice on them in terms of handling in the wind so that I think would warrant doing the RR on race wheels.
I'll also be doing RR#2 on the 13th. Like Nate, I'll put new batteries in the PowerTap and I have a new tire - not sure if I'll put it on yet. I haven't flatted yet with the current tire and don't want to jinx myself. Just listened to the Core Diet fueling webinar this week and realized that I probably should have done that a couple months ago! I did change up a couple of things w/nutrition on the 4 hour ride this morning (swapped Powerbars for Clif bars, added Clif Bloks, drank more Perform) and had my best ride in 3 months. Pretty psyched to to the RR and then taper down.
