I was wondering if this works for power because it is much cheaper and you can switch bikes with it.

     I used iBike in the past. It is markedly inferior to the PowerTap i use now. eBay often has used PTs @ discount. Dont waste $ on iBike.

    I bought an bike to start a few years ago. Wasted my money. Now have a powertap on my bike and my wife's. It died after a rain storm. I wanted to save money too but ends up I wasted money. Listen to Al.

    I honestly believe that the iBike Aero used as an expensive computer for your ANT+ PM (PT, SRM, Quarq, etc) is one of the most valuable (and underappreciated) options out there. Real time CdA calculations lets you tweak your aero position for optimum aerodynamics, while getting the power meter data from a more reliable source. I'd seriously consider this if I fell into a little extra cash.

    And, while I'm no lover of the iBike as a solo PM, if I rode entirely outside and mostly in the same position (ie. didn't switch between the hoods, drops, and/or bars often), then I'd have no hesitation using it. It is accurate, and reproducable. Unfortunately, those circumstances don't describe me.
