New member vs basic member

Just wondering what the distinction between the 2 types of members is.   I have been in the EN house since before the 09 outseason (about 16-17 months now) and am a new member now.  Others who started when I did appear to be basic members.   Just curious to see what defines the different categories.

    I believe its the number of posts made since 4.0 was brought online. Sound right to anyone else?

    Means nothing, something about post count. We haven't had time to look into tweaking that system yet.

     You become a "basic member" after 100 posts and "advanced member" after 500 posts. Not sure what the next 2 levels are, don't think anyone has reached them yet. Will have to see if Nemo's designation changes once she hits 1000 posts.
