I'm a week behind everyone for now. Re-did my bike test yesterday, since I missed writing down crucial info. Here's what I got: BLTHR: 168, FTP: 170 w/kg: 1.9
No moolata to buy Power for now, so I'm training in zones. I have no idea if these numbers are good or not. Guess I'll find out in a few weeks when I see some improvement!
You all sound like you are rocking! Kudos to all of you!
How are you measuring FTP without using power? 170 is a good solid number. Though, your w/kg seem kind of low to me for being able to push 170.....but, hey I am new to power also, so I could be thinking incorrectly. I am sure the wicked smart members have the answers
Barbara- I'm with Kathy on this. What exactly did you enter in the data tool? You shouldn't have an FTP if you don't have Power. And you shouldn't have a w/kg if you don't have power either. I'm guessing you have some numbers in the wrong place.
I think you are right about me putting numbers in the wrong place! I used the stationary bike at the Y, which showed watts at 170. My HR avg. was 168. How do I change the info. in the Data Tool? I don't see any place to edit. Obviously, I am still on the learning curve with the data... I certainly appreciate your comments and help!
Barb- you should be able to highlight that row in the "Tests" area of the data tool and then select the Edit button.
FYI- I wouldn't really trust the watts that the stationary trainer at your gym gives you. Just focus on training by HRM since you don't have power on your own bike.

Thanks Nemo! I'll try the edit.
