Great job everyone today! @Paul, I love the 30' naps between sports...need to work that into my next BTD <img src='http://members.endurancenation.ushttp://members.endurancenation.us/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif' align="absmiddle" border="0" class="afEmoticon" />! @Thom, solid bike and run and let me just say I know exactly what you are talking about re the protein...I was thinking about steak and burgers today too!
@Anu, late to say this but glad you are feeling better!!

For me today: was up at 4am, left the house at 5. Drove 2hrs west to meet a friend for the BTD. We got in the water (little swimming hole close the the Blue Ridge Parkway, aka Skyline Drive here in VA) at 7, swam 2 miles in 62 minutes. Hopped on our bikes (after a 24' transition, we had to ask a local the best route to get to Skyline) and headed up up up. Plan was to ride 2hrs out, 2hrs back. Well the first 2hr(25 miles) were directly up a mountain. Yes, 4000 ft of climbing in 25 miles. We got to the 2:05 point and turned back. Well 4000 ft up means 4000 ft down. It was crazy descending and the wind picked up too which meant we were all over the place. Got back to the car/lake and the entire ride had only been just over 3 hrs. I figured with the work we put in during those 3hrs we were good today. Got our shoes on and started running...uphill again. Over the 6.5 miles in 60' we climbed 600+ feet. It was a tough training day, but well worth the 2hr drive down and effort. Work really does work.

Nice work on the big days everyone!

@Paul, you need to really commit more to the naps, I hit 2 hour naps yesterday and today. Feels great.

Another 3 hours on the trainer today. Its really all mental, because even though I thought yesterday was challenging, I was almost 20 watts higher on today's ride. The mentality of getting on and 'ABP-ing' got me into a groove. Today's mental candy was Star Ship Troopers and the first hour of XXX (the Vin Diesel movie, come on folks!). I had the sound turned off and an iTunes playlist going. And Zwift going on my computer. I'm over stimulated... I'm finding that eating every 20 minutes is really helping my energy levels during the long weekend rides. Someone should write the importance of a good nutrition plan in the wiki or something.

I have changed my training plan this week to include another bike ride today.  I have missed biking the last three Sundays so, I wanted to make it a bigger bike week.  Going out with a friend for @60 miles today.  Legs are a little tired from yesterday though.  Got in a solid 4hr ride followed by a 30 minute run.  What I am learning is that Gatorade Endurance is good for sodium and the first few hours but then my stomach starts to rebel.  I'm wondering about changing back to perpetuem which has worked for me in the past.  Just need to up the sodium.  I don't cramp as much with the Gatorade.

@Jennifer it looks like the big day was a success for you and you learned some things to work on.  Great job.

@Thom on my ride yesterday I stopped at the gas station and bought some beef jerkey.  Know what ya mean.

Today I turned off all alarms and crawled out of bed at 9am. I read the Sunday paper and piddled around. Meanwhile, the heat index was quickly shooting up to 114. So at 1130am I ended up at the gym to run 5 miles on the dreadmill. Far better than running outside. Likewise, I ended up doing another 2hrs 13 mins on the drainer watching Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Another big week in the books.
    Swim: 12,200 yards
    Bike: 186 miles
    Run: 31.3 miles
Weights: 2 sessions totaling 75 mins
