I've got 18 members of my triathlon club here in the Metro Detroit area coming to Madison for IMOO 2010. Keep an eye out for the Killer Bee's (Black and Yellow race kit) from Infinite Multisport (www.infinitemultisport.com) and give us a shout. We'll be sure to return the favor!
Hi Jay! Those should be pretty easy to spot on the course! We had a guy get stung by a bee at IMWI 2 years ago- he was allergic and had to do the epipen thing- but he still finished in an amazing time. I'm hoping your "bees" will scare the other ones away this year!!
If you are a female, we have a thread in women's forum... "EN Cowgirl MOJO" .... so we got two places we can blab about WI! 20 weeks starts next Monday! excited. I have ordered my nutrition, bought new run shoes, still have good swimsuits and goggles, got new tri shorts, bike is ready and checked out, new tires... been tweaking my nutrition, got checked out medically....one last thing? is figuring out my Garmin 310XT! smile. anyways, I hope your training week is going well . m
Hasan Baydoun, Chicago, IL 30 on race day. 1st IM ever is IMOO intermoediate level athlete - never ran more than 1 mile (in my whole life!!!) prior to April 12, 2009 - that was the day i felt the worst my whole life.
3 goals: 1 - finish 2- Reliastically Happy under 13 hours 3- divine help (in the form of wings) under 12
Goal is to cross the line at age 50... Drop time by 30 minutes.. Overall I just want to race smart and enjoy the day.. Meeting the EN Chicas will make this even more enjoyable!
IMWI 2010 will be my 5th IM. My third Ironman was IMWI 2006, which ended with a nasty case of hypothermia and a DNF at mile 14 of the run on a cold rainy day. Looking to redeem myself on this course! Took the last 2 years off, following IMAZ 2007, of IM to concentrate on fast. Mostly at the 1/2 IM distance.
Goals: Execute a solid race plan and finish with a strong marathon. ~11:30 finish. Good luck to everyone racing. Train smart!
Count me in! Lake Placid last year was my first and this will be my 2nd. I swam, biked and ran the course this past weekend and have a lot of respect for the challenge!
goals: finish! would like to go sub-12hr but we'll see.....
looking forward to meeting everyone!
Mary, welcome! Glad to see another ENer from Minnesota going to Madison this September! Both Kathy Nelson and I are doing IMWI this year. Looking forward to meeting you!
