5/23/19 Seminar Planning [Moderator Needed]: "How to analyze HIM/IM Race (or big training day) files

Full topic is as follows: "How to analyze HIM/IM Race (or big training day) TP/Strava data files" To include on the bike: how to determine if you rode steady or too hard, what should HR chart look like. How to know if you started the bike leg too fast. What does VI, Pr:hr and EF in TP mean and what are good/bad ranges. Same for the run. Basically, how to look at all this data and determine how well or poorly the race was executed per EN guidelines."

Who is interested in being here?

Comments

  • Interested and registered , however not for Moderator role on this Webinar. Still traveling east, should arrive home on 20th , no problem with 23rd, just dont wanna stress about learning the Moderator Role requirements in 2 days while busy with unpacking etc.

  • @Tim Sullivan Any interest in being the webinar moderator? You just login to Zoom, allow people in, and make sure everyone gets to participate. Maybe screen share with them as well. Thoughts?

Also paging @Brian Hagan @Jenn Edwards As two potential candidates. Also any early season racers are welcome too....bring that data and let us figure it out with you!

  • I moderated the last one with zero previous experience. The process/app was self explanatory and worked flawlessly. If a geezer who saw his first PC @age 35 can do it...

  • I'd be happy to nerd out on files! Registered and will attend, lemmie know if any homework is needed. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Sorry.... I'm gonna back out of this one... I may come in as an observer/questioner but I have a bit too much on my plate this week at the moment...

  • I donโ€™t see any activity on this or any indication itโ€™s actually happening so Iโ€™m going to scratch it from my calendar for tonight. If Iโ€™m mistaken lemmie know. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  • @Jenn Edwards We have 8 folks (and you attending)...could you login and turn it on to record? Here are the instructions.

    1. Create a Seminar Thread in the Watch. Discuss. Learn. Forum here: https://endurancenation.vanillacommunities.com/categories/watch-discuss-learn You can put your notes and co presenters in there...remind them they can RSVP online here: http://bit.ly/2BFTc4t ย -- please be sure to TAG ME in that thread so I have it on my radar, thanks!
    2. You need to download and have Zoom installed on your computer (https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting)
    3. Login as me: ย patrick@endurancenation.us ย and password: dontbonk
    4. Once you login and "click start," -- about 2 minutes before the meeting time -- the meeting should start recording and you can see that on your dashboard. So you are free to start the conversation, etc.
    5. Note, there is a meeting "Waiting Room" so if you are a few minutes late (or they are early) attendees won't go anywhere.
    6. As folks enter the waiting room, you will need to APPROVE them to enter your event (youโ€™ll be prompted to click a button, and there will be a chime).
    7. Any / all visuals are welcome if needed; at a minimum you'll want to have a brief intro about you, the names and info of folks presenting, set some expectations for the call. The more attendees, the more time you'll need for Q&A...you got this! ๐Ÿ‘
    8. If you arenโ€™t sharing a screen, you can change the layout so that all participants are visible on the screen. Play with the layout and see what you think!
    9. Once you are done, end the meeting and it will be all taken care of. Send Along any materials or notes you want me to include. And we are good to go!

  • Roger that, I shall be the official button presser @Coach Patrick !

  • OK. I can make it. If you need data to look at you can look at my 70.3 Norway race report I posted a few days ago. I did some stuff OK and some stuff not so OK

  • Oops. It was earlier it looks like

  • @Tim Sullivan Yeah...no idea how I managed to fat finger the event to 6pm EST instead of 9pm. I think some folks might show up at 9....you can use my login above to open an event....just make sure to hit record...and you can invite folks to this URL: https://zoom.us/j/2572877525

If folks show up, great...if not, shut it down and I owe you...

  • So, I'd planned on 6 PM PDT (0200 UTC), but apparently it already happened when I was heavy into recovery from the morning's 5.5 hr ride. Guess I'll check out the video replay?

  • Trying to open Zoom meeting , nothing happening. It says it starts at 3 PM (PST) . Which means it's over?
