IMCDA 2010 Team Pre-Race Dinner
Hey Folks-
Traveling to CDA tomorrow for long weekend with family. Only 19 sleeps until they are here in CA with me.
Going to scout out a couple dinner places (rich will create sign up later), but wanted an idea of a couple things from those going..
1. How many kids?
2. Any preference for foods (won't please everyone, but kind find places with big choices)
3. Prefer already picked menu (good stuff) or order off menu
4. Transportation needs if not down by race site!
Chime in on above and I will look around this weekend. Well, not really, because know all the places but it will help me pick the right one!

My only preference is to stay in or near downtown, not up by the freeway or on north in the newer shopping areas. I've never been to a restaurant out on the lake, that would be worth a drive for the view if the price is right.
Hey Bryan,
In '08 we had dinner at that Italian place right on the lake, near the turnaround. We had 18-20 for dinner and it worked out great. If we have more (I'm sure we'll be north of 40 for dinner) I think we'd need the entire restaraunt? How about a dinner cruise on the lake? I did that with a tri club in '03, seemed to work out well.
s the team dinner going to be Thursday or Friday night? - we won't get into town late on Thursday and I would like to hit the scheduled 90' ride and see some of the hills out towards Hayden.
Tom
Either option (pre-selected dishes or order off menu is fine). Love the idea of a dinner cruise! Not too worried about transportation, I should have access to a car. Staying in the Sanders Beach area, so pretty close to downtown.
I too am wondering which night we're talking about...
I look forward to meeting everyone...
Thanks for getting this together. My preference is for Thursday as well since the race dinner is Friday night. I'm good with any type of food.
Thanks!!
Wendy
Sorry all-
Dinner will be Thrusday night. Works out better. Friday is athlete dinner and some folks like to go to that. Can be pretty cool. Will check on lake cruise, but normally pretty spendy. What would be price/person you would be willing to part with for lake cruise?
@Bryan - Not sure I'd want to spend more than about $35-$40 per person. Just my 2 cents
Pre selected menu is fine with me so long as it isn't nachos and pickled eggs. The Italian place Coach Rich mentioned sounds great. There is also an excellent mexican restaurant on Third Street, used to be called the Third Street Cantina before they changed the name.
Two adults attending.
Thanks so much!
Bryan, thanks in advance for making the arrangements.
I am in - 2 adults and 3 kids (possibly and most likely) - we are staying in Spokane on Thursday but have a car and can come wherever - not very picky about food or location - thanks for organizing!
That really goes for anyone that needs some help getting around for our Thursday dinner - I would be more than happy to help get you from one place to another!
Either night works for me. There will be 2 adults and 1 1/2 kids (4 1/2 and 10 months). We are not really picky. The dinner cruise probably would not be the easiest for us, although if that was the case, we would leave the kids with my parents who will be in town with us.
Bryan--- thanks for checking into things for everyone.
Thanks for the offer, we may take you up on that. BTW is there a good grocery store in CDA?
@ Donna
I assume by good you mean "fresh". Yes, there is Albertson's, Safeway, Super One for chains. All have great produce and organic sections. Additionally, on 4th Street is Pilgrims Market and it is all organic, etc.
