I have a friend who'd like to join us for the rally in Madison but is not a FB member, I noted someone said the same and that they would sign up 'here' instead. What does that mean? Any help? Thanks!
Are you still looking for someone to split a room? I hadn't booked anything yet because I was waiting to see if I could drag a few converts up from my parts but it looks like I may be the only one heading up from Cedar Rapids after all. I haven't booked a room yet but I wouldn't be adverse to splitting a room if yours is still open.
I have a 3 night reservation ($340) in a double queen room that I have set up right now with a single roommate. I'm personally ok with going to 3 in the room (roll away?) if the other fellow is. Drop me an email, Twitter DM, or PM here, or something if you want to explore that.
Attention fellow Rally campers please keep this in mind. This will be a busy course weekend (CTS and others having camps.) Let's represent the EN brand well by following the rules of the road. These are towns already sensitive and annoyed with IM cyclists. Think of this as actual course practice. Ride single file. Stay as far right as possible at all times, especially when climbing. We see way too many folks around here climbing up nearly in the middle of the road making themselves a nice target for uncoming traffic coming up the other side of the climb. Also don't assume there are not cyclists on the other side of the road because many Madison area cyclists ride these routes in the opposite direction.
More and more cars have less patience. Let's not give them any reason to be annoyed with EN.
I can't stress this enough and I can tell you if I see bad rules of the road riding I will yell at you, not because I'm a b..tch, but because I care about your safety and mine.
I can't stress enough that we are guests on these roads and need to act accordingly.

Yep, thanks for the reminder. I've been going to Madison 1-2x/yr for years, for camps and the race. This situation between locals and cyclist has been going on for a long time. Let's all be very, very polite out there.
Sorry I never got back to you. I ended up booking a single room, well it's one queen and a pull out queen bed. A friend of mine in town changed his mind and said he'd come so I booked, then he changed his mind again and said he can't come. I'm not going to be heartbroken if I have a room to myself but if there is anyone else out there that is an even bigger slacker than me then I have some space in my room.
My roommate cancelled. Let's share at the Clarion if possible. I know you're out of town, so I'm trying to find your email or phone or something to try to reach you directly.

Heather, just pay attention to any notices/information I send out either on FB or through here/Team updates and pass them along to her.
Will,

And I have a ton of experience herding cats on bikes, have The Voice and am not afraid to use it

No worries. I thought I'd left it for you to contact me only if you wanted.
