EN goes to Madison!

Thursday:  thought I would start a separate thread and y'all can chat in here... or post pics for othe ENers....

horrible hotel sleep for me....  but okay I am up.. not too bad of 8.5 hours in hotel.  my room is cold and about put on track pants for like only the 3rd time this September as it has been very warm but just starting to cool off in AR.  so we have had 55 degrees in morning..

I was whooped when we got to hotel so we stayed here... but then I stayed up chatting with my GF whom I have talked to but hadn't seen since mid July.

don't know where the lake is from here, somewhere!  and I am sure I will find out.  my GF said I was staying calm and relaxed and I said GOOD.  but then like I said when I did get in bed, my mind was out there on the roads!    m

  • I'm on my way, posting from the plane

  • Great swim this morning with Linda, Kris, Michele C, Kitima, and Eric while Michele M and Johnny paddled along side. Sooo cool! Saw Marianne & Don arrive to swim just as we were wrapping up. I'm all registered and ready to hit the bike course for a short shakedown ride before the team dinner tonight. The race registration area was just swarming with Team EN members. Bumping into folks everywhere you turn. Totally cool!

okay so I got there late! but David and I swam and friend Cindi got this before I got in, my hands stayed cold all during registration but the swim was fine actually, so I felt good about it. scouted out bike course and overall feel good about the whole thing!!
  • So excited for all of you!!! Wish I was there... image
  • Best wishes to all the EN athletes at Wisconsin this weekend!
  • X 2 on what Scott said!  Positive EN Mojo sending your way!  Have a FANTASTIC race and remember....HAVE FUN!!!!!

  • Swam, drove run course, rode a bit on bike course. went to Ironman banquet and got called up on stage with Mike Reilly, the voice of Ironman, cuz I had the most children! = 5. I thought five was pretty normal... right Kathy??? smile. anyways, not even sure what I said! and like Barb at KY, coulda said some things a bit more intelligently! anyways very nice. the Ford Everyday Hero is an Arkansas tri friend so that was also cool.. and back at our hotel and our friend, our fav. mechanic was here and just got my bike all ready!! and the mechanic?? why he said "who cleaned your bike?" and I said "me", and he did a finger test on my chain and he said "the chain is clean, nice work!"... okay that is three, three great Karma things.
  • You were all good Marianne. Only thing you could've done better was an en shout out image

Kudos to rnp on a great turnout at the 4keys talk this am. Nicely done.
  • I don't seem to have photo capability...  okay...

so I met the owner of all this land around me.. she stopped and I was taking pics and she was one of many that said "need any help?" and I said "nope,,just taking pics!" and she said "what you don't have corn where you live?" and she chatted to me for quite awhile...while Heather was at the top of the hill waiting on me!!!

all admin except for bike/bags finished up today.    m

  • Haven't ran into any EN folks today, which is not surprising since I've been lurking in my hotel room after escaping the expo scene earlier today after bike check in. I did the whole double lunch thing and took down two big bowls from Noodles & Co and it was great. Totally not hungry now but plenty nervous/excited. Didn't swim, didn't run, didn't really do anything fun or exciting today and was a little jealous of the non-racing EN folks out having a good time at night and on todays ride, wish I could make it to tonights dinner as well but going to continue to lay low.

Just wanted to make sure I took one final chance to say thank you to everyone for making this such a great weekend so far and to wish everyone else a fantastic race out there tomorrow.
  •  Looking forward to racing with everyone tomorrow! This week has been great so far! Oh, and if seems word of the Pink Speedos has spread. Boys, you are already famous!

  • Good luck tomorrow everyone. I will have the website on all day.
